I am a fan of Barrett's longtime JBL and was delighted to receive the On Stage Micro Portable Speaker Music III for iPhone and iPod for review. Here is my take on it. A battery and weighs less than a pound, the JBL On Stage Micro III go almost anywhere. It acts as a stand-alone iPod music system, so with two JBL Odyssey full-range transducers and a digital amplifier, you can fill both Rooma and space with the JBL sound realistic. Aa USB cable is all you need to synchronize and charge your iPod or iPhone with iTunes while keeping it charged, and browse your library with the remote IR Microsystems III. One advantage is that using only two of the same size, drivers, using the Micro III less power and four AA batteries. The unit comes with a wall adapter, ten-key remote control and a dock adapter with rubber stamps for the design of different devices, you must provide your own audio cables. A nice feature: a crystalline plastic basin on top of each unit with white LED glows when the camera is turned on. I can not attest to the truth of how JBL is resistant to competition, have not tried any other speaker, however, other commentators have said that the micro-III is a bit 'light in the department of power, especially with the bass. Set-up was super easy and the sound is good, if not as rich and I would have liked, certainly filled my kitchen, breakfast room and office with its vibrant without looking in a book. I like both the size and portability, you can use at home or take it with you to provide 16 hours of play with four new double A batteries. E Griffin JBL On Stage Micro Portable Speaker III for the iPhone and iPod Touch is a sleek and stylish speaker that offers some sound quality in proportion to its size and price. This is a round speakers with a bass that is almost like a crown on top. Some of the leaves are speakers, and others are shiny black plastic. The speaker is small enough to put almost anywhere, and is so easy that it would be easy to carry from room to room. The combination of glossy black and silver gives the speaker a bit of a futuristic look, and I like the dark color makes the speaker very discreet. The instructions for Stage III Micro is short and clear, and I had the opportunity to adjust the speaker volume in minutes. You can use either battery or power speakers, I tried it both ways without problems. There are two small, curved edges, rubber is used to ensure the right fit for your iPhone or iPod. I had to play with these a bit to find the right part and get the correct position, but for someone more mechanically inclined, I do not think it could be a challenge Once configured, the JBL On Stage Micro Portable Speaker III offers good music very good especially for the size and price.
