Portable loudspeaker dock for iPod and iPhone Why Harman Kardon? For more than 50 years, Harman Kardon products have delivered--through extraordinary industrial design, innovative technologies and meticulous engineering--the ultimate listening experience. And for the past 10 years, Harman Kardon has used these techniques to develop some of the world's best-sounding and most-striking-looking multimedia products available. Whether for your computer or your iPod, Harman Kardon multimedia products deliver rich, high-quality sound from systems that look just as good as they sound. In fact, the Harman Kardon SoundSticks system is now in the permanent collection of New York City's Museum of Modern Art. Compatibility The Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro is compatible with all docking versions of the iPod (including the nano G3, iPod classic and iPod touch) and iPhone. Via its auxiliary input, the Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro is also compatible with MP3 and CD players, as well as desktop and laptop computers (all platforms). When using the Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro with a docking version of the iPod or iPhone, it will even keep your device charged when plugged into AC. Video and Photo Playback Why not watch the video content from your iPod or iPhone on the big screen? With an included composite video output, connecting your Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro to a video display is easy. With your Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro connected, you can now enjoy all the video content from your device on a larger screen while still enjoying the incredible sound quality that the Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro delivers. iTunes Connectivity Have new music or movies that you want synced with your iPod or iPhone? Just dock your iPod or iPhone and connect the Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro to your computer via the USB connection. Once you have accessed your iTunes account, a simple click of your mouse transfers all of your favorite content easily to your device. Flexible Power Take the new Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro with you anywhere; it works both with the included AC adapter and on batteries. You can rock out for hours from just eight C-cell batteries, and there's even a handy battery-save feature that will save your battery power when the system isn't in use. Stunning Sound Quality The Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro is the true audiophile's portable loudspeaker dock for his or her iPod or iPhone. Its stunning sound quality starts with Harman Kardon's proprietary Atlas and Odyssey transducers. The dual Odyssey tweeters are designed to be very lightweight but extremely rigid. This means high frequencies are detailed and clear while delivering sound over a wide listening area. The Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro's Atlas woofer is also rigid but designed to move a lot of air. The result is deep, extended bass response with minimal distortion. To power these advanced drivers, the Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro actually uses two amplifiers to drive the woofer (30 watts X 1) and tweeters (15 watts X 2) independently for exceptional richness and clarity of sound. Finally, to ensure clear, low-distortion sound at high output levels, the Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro uses advanced digital signal processing (DSP) along with computer-optimized equalization. Easy-to-Use Music and Navigation Controls The Go+Play Micro's minimalist design means it is very easy to use. Its elegant, stainless-steel touch-volume controls mean that a single touch increases or decreases the volume. And for those times when you want complete control from across the room or across the beach, the Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro comes with a wireless IR remote control. The elegantly laid-out control allows you to direct basic system operation along with most iPod and iPhone operation from up to 4.5 meters (15 feet) away. The Go+Play Micro is perfect for around the house, on the beach, or anywhere you want to enjoy some music from your portable device. Most helpful customer reviews 14 of 16 people found the following review helpful. from Greg V. FRUGOLI I built in possession of the older, full-size Harman Kardon speaker system with iPod and I must say it was better sound than the Go + Play Micro. The sound on this fine product, it's just that the old model really pumped with the help of some large woofer and speakers in general. Why do they (Harman Kardon) change a good thing is beyond me. With that said, I say no reason to bash Go + Play outside, it's not as good as the old model. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Harman Kardon Go + Play Micro Speaker System for iPod with eau First off, I could not believe the size of the package when it arrived. It's pretty big for a portable system. There is nothing "micro" about it despite the fact that it advertised as a portable Micro speaker system. The view of the size, it is a beautiful, well-designed system. The stainless steel handle adds an aesthetic touch and fashion to the control unit of volume and power button are cleverly integrated into a circular disk on the left side of the unit. I am pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of this "Boombox". It's a lot of pumps is very low and also brighter on the treble. The sound is simply amazing given its size. Unlike most Boombox, the sound does not deteriorate as the volume increases. No bass / treble or equalizer controls for fine tuning. The iPod dock on top of the unit is tilted forward, so you can see the iPod screen easily without having to climb to the unit. The spring is height adjustable to suit the thickness of the concrete model of iPod / iPhone you have. However, the width of the pier is fixed and tight fit. The most likely have to remove any custom cover on the iPod before it would fit in the bank. The unit has multiple entries in the connection back. An auxiliary input connects to any MP3 player, PC speaker output and even game consoles (the 35 mm audio adapter may be required). The composite video output to connect the device to a TV and play videos and photos on your connected iPod / iPhone (sorry, no HD here). The device can also be connected to a computer to communicate directly with iTunes, the iPod without the need to disconnect and manual sync (USB cable not included). Despite the relatively large size, the device is portable. Can be powered by AC or Dual 8 C cell batteries, which are installed in the rear of the unit. It comes with a small remote control for volume and the connected dock iPod / iPhone. The speaker system has a very good sound. I use it as my main audio system and my room boomboxes old was arrested in a garage since then. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great product.
