For this reason, I ran into the store to verify the Bose iPod dock with his new laptop in hand. I currently use my SoundDock in different rooms while cleaning / work / kitchen / etc. So there would be such a help to a SoundDock that was more acceptable to have, especially if the rise in the rooms clean and if I want to work outdoors this spring. But I was pretty disappointed. It is simply the SoundDock old "Cubby" to your hand (I've never understood why there was no way to easily pick up old SoundDock) and the platform rotates in. That's it. And that is $ 100 more. And it is not sustainable. When I think of "portable", I think it means something that can bring to the park or at the campsite. I would not use this site ... especially since it $ 400. It's nice that protected Bose SoundDock of the most vulnerable (the pier), but I feel I have done nothing to protect the circuits that would survive a fall? I do not believe it. Bose but it is still the best iPod dock in existence. The sound is second to none. 19 of 19 people found this review helpful. Excellent product if you have money to spend! By Jay R. Chase The Sound Dock definitely fills a niche. It allows you to connect your iPod without taking up all that other audio devices ... and it sounds awesome! To get the sound takes a lot "of weight and size ... I do not think they have much chance of further trade-off, without spending a lot more money. The sound is typical of Bose, rich, deep, dynamic, etc. .. I would be careful with the tag "portable" because of the weight, but if you really need, you can take it with you. Not different from the last decade "Boom Box". I use my job, because I really like the sound, and is low impact (just set in the corner of my desk) I connect the iPod when I go to work and podcasts, music, etc.. . all day! I suppose I could live without it, or bought a cable to play my old CD player, but for the price, I discovered that this is the most elegant and low profile. I highly recommend! All the best, Jay 9 of 9 people found this review helpful. Best of Annie Bose did not always sound better, but it qualifies as the best. Simple to use with a great noise.
